Women

Virginia is ranked 43rd in the Country for women elected to state offices. The results of the 2017  election increased the number of women in Virginia's State Legislature to 25%; 28 women in the House of Delegates, 10 in the Senate.  Virginia has NEVER had a woman Governor or a US Senator.

Some of these women are elected officials who have served and will continue to help move the Commonwealth forward. Some are running for office for the first time because they want to be a voice for their district, a voice that has been ignored for far too long. Others are activists who continue to fight everyday to bring positive change.
